Happy Mini Goldendoodle puppy in Arizona backyard

“A Doodle Bliss puppy is more than a pet — it’s a family companion raised with science, care, and love.”

Why Choose a Goldendoodle?

Goldendoodles combine the loving nature of the Golden Retriever with the low-shedding intelligence of the Poodle. The result? A friendly, trainable, family companion with fewer allergens and boundless affection.

At Doodle Bliss, we raise Mini, Medium, and Standard Goldendoodles with the highest health standards and ethical breeding practices. Each puppy is carefully matched with the right family for lifelong happiness.

3. The First 12 Weeks: Our Puppy Rearing Program

We use Puppy Culture and Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) to nurture confident, well-rounded pups.

  • Gentle handling, sound exposure, and desensitization.
  • Structured potty and crate training.
  • Daily enrichment and early socialization with people and environments.

4. Nutrition & Feeding

We recommend high-quality brands such as Life’s Abundance or PawTree. Feed by weight and activity level, and make transitions slowly over 7–10 days to avoid tummy upset.

5. Training & Behavior

Goldendoodles are smart and eager to please! Begin training early using positive reinforcement methods.

  • Start with short 5-minute sessions.
  • Reward desired behaviors immediately.
  • Expose your puppy to new environments gradually.

Enroll in our training partner program at Baxter & Bella using code DOODLEBLISS25 for 25% off online training.

6. Exercise & Play

Daily playtime and walks are essential for your pup’s happiness. Goldendoodles thrive with mental challenges — try puzzle feeders, fetch, or obedience games.

7. Grooming & Coat Care

  • Brush 3–4 times per week to prevent matting.
  • Bathe every 4–6 weeks or as needed.
  • Clean ears and trim nails regularly.

Starting grooming early helps your puppy enjoy the process as they grow.

8. Bringing Puppy Home

Expect a short adjustment period of 3–14 days. Provide structure, patience, and love as your puppy learns routines. Keep a consistent feeding, potty, and bedtime schedule.

9. Common Goldendoodle Questions

Are Goldendoodles hypoallergenic?

They are often low-shedding and allergy-friendly, but no dog is 100% hypoallergenic. How much grooming do they need?

Regular brushing and trims every 6–8 weeks help maintain a healthy coat. When does a Goldendoodle stop growing?

Mini and Medium Doodles reach full size around 12–18 months; Standards may take up to 24 months.

10. Your Role as an Owner

Consistency, patience, and love are key to a great start. Your puppy looks to you for leadership and care — and in return, you’ll gain an incredibly loyal companion.

Are Goldendoodle’s Hypoallergenic?

The short answer, yes, sort of and it depends. The whole hypoallergenic term is highly debated, but I am kind of the in house expert on the topic. You see, I’m allergic to dogs. You are probably saying, ‘what, a dog breeder allergic to dogs?!’, and yes, it is true, there are sacrifices we make for our families. The debate is really about the dander, which is what I’m told I am allergic to. What it typically boils down to is, if the dog doesn’t shed, it makes a huge difference how much dander I’m exposed to, so yeah, a non-shedding Goldendoodle in my world is hypoallergenic. I have a more in depth overview of the debate here if you want some extra reading on the topic.

Disclaimer: I don’t have the wheezing, need an inhaler and get me to the Emergency room type of allergy, I won’t make any claims in those cases. But when dogs shed a lot, I know it. My eyes turn red, swell up and the tears flow. Then the sneezing starts and my night is pretty much over…give me some Benadryl and a bed, I’m out. I’m not a doctor, but I don’t always need one to tell me if a dog is hypoallergenic or not.

So, the ‘it depends’ comes in to play because it really does matter what kind of coat your Goldendoodle has and that is heavily influence by what generation it is. You can read more about how Goldendoodle generations affect coat types here.
